Last October, I ordered two bedside lamps and shades from the Newcastle branch of Fenwick.Last week, they telephoned me to say that the chosen model had been discontinued by the manufacture. This has taken six long months to get this news.

Bentalls store kingston upon thames. I need to buy a new vacuum cleaner and the assistant named Barbara came to help. She went above and beyond any help I could have expected. She went a long way out of way to ensure that i got exactly what I wanted. She was charming, kind and understanding. If it were possible I think she would have a bonus

Product ordered online was a gift, ordered in plenty of time but still delivered late. I received no explanation why and emailed customer service to find out. Unfortunately they just ignored my emails. I appreciate at the start of COVID deliveries would be delayed, but a year on and a company still can’t deliver on time when most companies can deliver in 1/2 days... my emails to customer service were ignored with no responses, not what their automated response advises! When I was asked by Fenwicks to leave a review I mentioned my experience with their customer services and expectantly receive an email saying my feedback cannot be published!! No ownership of their problems/faults just complete disregard and hiding away. Will not be buying from them again and would encourage others not to.

Whilst Fenwick may have been late to bring their historic, quality offering online, sadly, their website is virtually useless. Their online payments system, provided in conjunction with Arcot, very often does not take payments from cards (even when saved in a customer's account) nor via the PayPal option. This is in addition to the very slow browsing speed at which their website runs, & the poor quality of photography offering (the photos used don't show products close up in sufficient detail, & often only with two photos of a product (front & back)).If you try to contact their Customer Services to resolve the issue, you can't actually speak with them via the phone (despite them having a calling option) & they don't reply promptly to their Live Chat portal on their website - you may be waiting well over 20 minutes for an initial response & then if you do not complete your reply within just five minutes, the portal closes the chat! This is an extremely sad state of affairs for a well established, quality department store. Closing historic stores, such as in Leicester, may have been a prudent business decision, but if you are going to modernise your business into the online world, please make sure that your offering is at least of a basic, competent standard.Once you can get an order through their offering is very good, items usually arrive promptly, using a decent delivery service, & are well packaged.Invest in your website, particularly your third party payments authenticator!

Great experience, good communication, on time delivery, lovely packaging.

I contacted my local Fenwick's store (York) to request help from their Concierge service to locate an item in the sale. The lady was very helpful and advised she would send an email to the stores which were showing stock of the item required. It was a Sunday afternoon just after the New Year, so I did not expect such a prompt response. Within an hour an assistant had called me from the Brent Cross store to advise that my item was in stock and would be dispatched the next day. The parcel duly arrived within 2 days, very well packaged and it even included samples of luxury perfumes and skincare. The day after my initial inquiry another Fenwick's store also contacted me to advise they also had the item in stock, which was obviously not required. What an excellent service, greatly appreciated in these strange times. Sorry I don't have the individuals names to hand.

Fenwick's is my favourite website to buy clothes from. The prices are great, the delivery is quick and the packaging and returns process is fantastic. It's always the first place I look for a bargain.

I telephoned at 18.00 on Saturday December 5, a lady answered straight away and put me through to a colleague In York store to help with my query. Lady I spoke to checked and confirmed the jacket I wanted was in store, she took my details and said it would be posted out Monday 7 December. It was lovely to speak to a human being and not have to select numbers and listen to music for several minutes which happens a lot these days and is very frustrating. Jacket arrived Tuesday 8 December. Well done to all involved including DPD delivery man, who called when I was out in the morning but returned later in the afternoon on chance I was at home.

Unhelpful unfriendly customer service non existent

I bought Le Creuset Salt and Pepper Mills a week ago. Received 2 Pepper Mills instead. For a whole week calling them everyday asking to sort this issue, they refusing to send me the correct product and not advising what to do, just promising to contact me. Horrible. Do not buy from them.
